Bob Newhart is back on TV as Dick Loudon, a man who, along with his wife Joanna, decides to leave their busy life in New York City and buy a small inn in Vermont. Dick is a writer of how-to books, but soon his life takes an unexpected turn as he becomes a local TV celebrity. He starts hosting a show called "Vermont Today," where he shares interesting stories and insights about life in Vermont. The show follows their new adventures in a quiet town, where they meet quirky locals and experience the ups and downs of innkeeping, all while adjusting to their slower-paced life away from the big city.
