This updated version of the Sherlock Holmes stories takes place in early 21st century London. Sherlock Holmes is portrayed as more confident and cocky, especially when interacting with Detective Inspector Lestrade from Scotland Yard, even though he's actually more insecure than he lets on. Dr. Watson, now a young veteran of the Afghan war, is portrayed as less admiring of Holmes and more active in their adventures.
