Plot Synopsis

Following an experimental U.S. electromagnetic pulse (EMP) detonation off Tasmania, hundreds of thousands of residents suffer instant neural failure. Desperate for answers, Ava (Daisy Ridley) joins an Australian military body retrieval unit under the pretext of clearing corpses, while secretly searching for her missing husband, Mitch.

As Ava travels deeper into the quarantine zone with another volunteer named Clay (Brenton Thwaites), they discover that a fraction of the deceased—known as "reboots"—are inexplicably coming back to life to complete their unfinished business, turning increasingly erratic and dangerous.
